EFR — Emotional Factory Reset

Your biggest business cost may already be emotional.

Stress is visible. Emotional patterns are not. Most leaders measure revenue, CAC, and churn — almost nobody measures the hidden cost of fear, perfectionism, conflict avoidance, and the need for control.

Takes about 8 minutes. Nothing you enter ever leaves your device.

What is EFR

Not coaching. Not therapy. Not meditation.

Emotional Factory Reset (EFR) is a method developed by Roman Mantelmakher for working with recurring emotional patterns that influence how people perceive situations, make decisions, and respond under pressure.

EFR (Emotional Factory Reset) targets a different question than most approaches to stress: can a recurring emotional pattern stop arising at all — not just be managed or softened, but stop triggering.

Most methods work at the level of controlling a reaction, or weakening it over time. EFR works at the level where the pattern no longer activates in the first place, so the reaction it used to produce simply isn't there to manage.

It's built for people whose decisions carry weight — founders, executives, and other professionals working in high-stakes environments where clarity under pressure is the actual product.

1

Between thoughts

You're guided to notice the gaps between thoughts — the space that's already there, usually missed.

2

Out of the head

Attention moves out of the head, into a quieter place to operate from.

3

Yours to practice

You take this with you and practice it over the following days. Once it's clearly yours and you want to go deeper, the first session begins — and that's where we work with specific emotional patterns.

About Roman

Thirty years building systems. Thirty years studying the mind.

Roman Mantelmakher

I've spent over thirty years in IT — programming, product, and leadership roles, including time at Intel — before founding IntelliVerse and building EFR.

In parallel, for just as long, I've been on a spiritual search, most of it focused on studying emotions. It started with the EFRAT model — Event, Interpretation, Feeling, Reaction — taught at the Adler Institute in Israel.

Over time it became clear this path had a ceiling: the nature of the mind is dual, and so is any emotion built on top of it — you either keep swinging between opposites, or you stop the swing itself.

That question is what led to EFR.

What people notice

Roman, I want to share my impressions of working with you and your method. You'll probably describe the method itself better from a scientific point of view. I'd like to share my personal experience. First of all, Roman very precisely identified the main blocks in my body. Then we began working with them through the heart — through inner perception, through the state of the heart. We returned to childhood situations where certain programs, limitations, and inner blocks had once formed, and looked at them in a completely different way. It turned out to be so simple, easy, and natural. I've personally practiced body-oriented work for about ten years, gone through various kinds of therapy, constellations, and many other methods of working with myself. But here something completely different happened. As if something inside finally "clicked" and fell into place. We worked through each area of the body one by one, returning to different life situations and looking at them from a state of the heart. It's a completely different kind of perception. Warmth appears, lightness, understanding of yourself and other people. You start to see why everything happened exactly the way it did, and a deep sense comes that everything happened for the best. Throughout the session Roman guides very lightly, without pressure, without trying to direct or control. More like an attentive observer. Because of that, everything unfolds naturally, as if you arrive where you need to on your own. After our work, I unexpectedly felt like calling my dad. Before that, we hadn't spoken for almost two years. After a conflict, I told him myself not to call me anymore. He didn't call. Neither did I. After the session, I suddenly understood very clearly that I had no right to compare my father to anyone, to tell him how to live, to hold a grudge against him, or to feel guilty. All of that simply lost its meaning. I called him myself. For the first time in a long while, we talked warmly, calmly, humanly. It turned out he had rethought a lot during that time too. We've stayed in touch ever since. For my dad to say, "I'm not upset with you. Thank you for calling" — that's almost impossible for him. It would have been impossible for me too, before. But it all happened very easily and naturally. After this work, a completely new stage began in my life. My inner states changed, my relationships with people changed, and there's more openness, presence, and calm. I'm very grateful to Roman. I sincerely wish him the fulfillment of everything he has set out to do. I'm convinced this method can help anyone, whatever life topic they come with — because in the end, every one of us wants the same thing: to be happy.

The biggest change wasn't what I felt. It was what I stopped feeling. Working with Roman completely changed how I experience everyday life. Many emotional reactions simply disappeared. I now live much more in the present moment, with greater inner stability and confidence. Books, movies and stories that used to trigger strong emotions no longer pull me in. I understand them intellectually, but I don't emotionally react the way I used to. The most valuable realization is that negative emotional patterns are not permanent — they can be dissolved.

I initially agreed to a 15-minute introductory conversation with Roman, but it naturally evolved into a full session. The result surprised me — I learned how to shift from a stressed state to a calm, clear state almost instantly, something that used to take me hours. Situations that had consistently triggered stress began to feel noticeably easier to handle afterward. The experience was practical, unexpected, and immediately applicable.

Roman helped me notice and interrupt mental patterns that had been running in the background for years. For founders, executives, and other professionals operating in high-stakes environments, I would strongly recommend a conversation with him. Within a short period I noticed fewer automatic reactions and an increased ability to stay clear-headed. His approach is unusual because it is based on direct observation rather than theory or self-improvement frameworks.

Roman comes across as genuinely warm and supportive. Following his advice, I can see the path to feeling better — I just need time to get there myself.

Roman helped me recognize that my emotional reactions were not caused by external events, but by the way I experienced them internally. Over time I became much calmer, stopped feeling irritation in situations that used to trigger me, and learned to approach difficult moments with much greater clarity and emotional neutrality.

At first I was skeptical. That changed quickly. One of the biggest shifts was learning to stop reacting automatically, especially with my children and in stressful situations. Understanding that events themselves are neutral dramatically reduced my stress. Roman explains complex psychological ideas with the precision and logic of an engineer.

The energy and clarity Roman brings into a conversation are remarkable. Even after our meeting ended, I noticed a lasting sense of lightness, calm, and spontaneous joy. It wasn't simply a pleasant conversation — it created a noticeable shift in how I felt.

Questions

Before you book

What is EFR?

EFR (Emotional Factory Reset) is a method for working with recurring emotional patterns — the ones that quietly repeat across similar situations and shape how you decide, lead, and react under pressure.

What are emotional patterns?

An emotional pattern is a reaction that repeats in similar situations regardless of who's involved — the same spike of anger, the same freeze before a hard conversation, the same need to control every detail. EFR works with the repeating pattern directly, not a single incident.

How do emotional patterns affect business decisions?

They rarely feel like emotions in the moment. They show up as a delayed hire, a sale you didn't make, a hard conversation postponed for weeks, or a decision run through consensus that didn't need it. The pattern shapes the decision before you're aware one is being made.

Who is EFR for?

Founders, executives, and other professionals whose decisions carry weight — people operating in high-stakes environments where clarity under pressure is the actual product.

Is EFR meditation?

No. Meditation typically trains attention or calm over time through repeated practice. EFR works to observe and interrupt a specific recurring pattern directly, so the reaction it used to produce stops arising.

Is this therapy?

No. EFR is not a clinical or medical treatment and doesn't replace one. It's a structured method for working with emotional patterns that affect decision-making and leadership.

How is this different from coaching or meditation?

Coaching and meditation typically help you manage or reduce a reaction over time. EFR works to observe and interrupt the pattern directly, so the reaction it used to produce stops arising.

What happens in the intro conversation?

It's a short, direct conversation focused on one thing: showing you how to notice the gaps between thoughts and move attention out of the head. We don't work with a specific emotional pattern yet — that comes later, in the first session, once you've practiced this on your own for a few days and it's clearly yours.

What does it cost?

The intro conversation lets you feel the approach before any commitment. Pricing for further work is discussed only after that, based on what's actually relevant to you.
